The Grow Mindfulness Teacher Network

Welcome to the section of this website dedicated to supporting teachers of secular mindfulness courses (MBSR, MBCT, MBPM) in the UK. If you are already a member you can log-in to the members-only website below. If you are new to the network, please read on to find out more about what we are doing and how you can join and connect with other mindfulness teachers, and mindfulness teachers in training, in your region and across the UK.

For many of us teaching is something we love, but it can also be challenging with all of the time and costs involved in running courses in community settings. An important reason that Grow Mindfulness exists is to help us share ideas, collaborate and connect, wherever you are in the UK. By working together and developing best practice models, we can begin to develop ways to help make mindfulness teaching financially sustainable, reduce the time spent on admin and free up more time for teaching and offering affordable places to those in need.

what we do

We will be looking out for funding opportunities and grant programmes and publicising what we find for our members. As a national organisation we are already receiving enquiries from organisations and businesses who are looking for trained mindfulness teachers to run courses in their organisations. We will announce these opportunities in our members only newsletter and help you develop pricing models which fit with your values and practice. We hope that from these early steps together, we can all do more of what we love - teaching and growing our work so that as many people who would like to can access high quality mindfulness courses in the community.

Membership Levels

We have developed tiers of membership to meet the needs of the widest range of mindfulness teachers possible and be inclusive for teachers in the training process. Membership tiers also include monthly subscriptions which can be cancelled anytime and concessionary rates for those on low incomes. There is also a 'Friends' option if you would like to support us and keep in touch with our work. Please note: you will need to apply to join the network and have your membership approved before we can process membership fees.

Grow - Full Membership (£110 per year or £10 per month)

For 'Grow' members, we offer a wide range of opportunities to collaborate, connect and grow your teaching. This membership tier is open to Mindfulness Teachers and Trainee Mindfulness Teachers. Benefits include a membership website - mindfulness teachers have told us that a private and secure space is important. The platform we've chosen is password protected, accessible only by invitation from us and offers a fantastic range of benefits including the ability to share our documents, receive alerts by region and form smaller work spaces for project groups and special interests. It is a place to connect with your peers across the UK - a warm and welcoming hub where people can ask questions, share their experiences and support one another as peers and companions on this mindful road.

Branching out - Basic Membership (£55 per year or £5 per month)

In our testing phase , some mindfulness teachers identifed that their mindfulness teaching was a small part of their overall work - we have created the 'Branch' membership level for those like this, who want to collaborate, connect and grow their work but don't need to access the members website and full menu of services for now.

Friends (£25 per year)

Support our work by becoming a friend. You will receive regular updates and have opportunities to contribute to our work by giving your views on new developments through regular surveys and polls.

We will continue to develop this network in response to our members' needs and we will be regularly seeking your views on what you would like us to do next. We always welcome your feedback so we can develop into something that truly helps you in your teaching practice. Please connect with us in whatever way works best for you - we'd love to hear from you.

Who can join?

Membership is open to mindfulness teachers, and student mindfulness teachers, who are committed to teaching secular mindfulness in line with Good Practice Guidelines using evidence based programmes like MBCT, MBSR etc.

What will happen to your membership fees?

We are a legally regulated not for profit organisation. As a Community Interest Company, we have committed to reinvesting assets and profits for the direct benefit of those who wish to learn mindfulness and UK mindfulness teachers who are committed to delivering courses with integrity. If the company closes, we have guaranteed that any assets transferred out of the company will be gifted to our colleagues at the Mental Health Foundation who have similar aims through their work on Be Mindful.
